Care and Nurture
The Care and Nurture team endeavors to provide spiritual, emotional and physical support to every part of our church family and community. The Shepherding Program, under the guidance of the committee, enables volunteers to maintain contact with members of their flock to determine individual concerns requiring assistance. Programs reaching beyond our congregation include the Angel Tree at Christmas, which provides gifts for children who are either in foster care or an impoverished home setting. Food baskets are provided at Thanksgiving and Christmas for families and Seniors needing assistance. These programs provide an opportunity for members of FFBUMC to demonstrate their discipleship by sharing with the community at large. The committee strives to serve as a support system for all activities planned by other committees when our assistance is requested.
